My passion for photography was born the day I observed my father, an avid amateur photographer, as he photographed my newborn baby and myself. He was entirely engrossed in the session and the images were stunning. At that moment I knew that photography was going to play a major part in my life. My career and life have been dedicated to preserving memories, for my clients and my own family. The key factor in the advancement of my work was involvement in professional photography organizations, which gave me access to the finest photographers and instructors in the world. I started photographing my own children and then clients, from my home. I had a retail location for fifteen years, concurrently with a high volume operation...and did every type of photography you can imagine. About six years ago I returned to working from home, specializing in on-location families. The number of sessions I do per year has been reduced to allow me time to pursue a passion for teaching. My mission as an instructor is to spare my students the time and effort it takes to learn the hard way, to help them find their inspiration, and to show them how to get the results they want quickly. Consider me the photography muse. My husband and I live in a suburb of Houston with golden retriever Don Giovanni (Gio) and tabby cat Tosca. Our son and daughter live in Austin with their own families. We are blessed with 3 beautiful grandchildren and they are fabulous. My other artistic outlets are playing the violin and painting.
